Neal Halloran
Neal Halloran is running for Goshen Town Council. “I'm running for Goshen Town Council because I'm deeply invested in the future of our community. My wife, Susan Cleaver, and I operate a farm right here in Goshen, where we raise livestock for eggs and meat. We also take pride in hosting BOCES veterinary technology students, providing them with valuable hands-on experience with farm animals. Additionally, we own and manage several residential properties, offering long-term housing for Goshen residents.
My commitment to Goshen extends beyond my farm and family. For over 20 years, I served the Town of Goshen as the Building Inspector/Code Enforcement Officer, retiring in 2022. During this time, I gained invaluable experience in the inner workings of our town government. I served as the Flood Plain Administrator, Storm Water Management Official, and represented Goshen on the Chamber of Commerce, Wallkill River Drainage Commission, and Moodna Creek Intermunicipal Council. I regularly attended meetings of the Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals, and Environmental Review Board, giving me a comprehensive understanding of the issues facing our town. Importantly, during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, I was one of the few town hall employees who worked full-time in person, alongside the Supervisor and Town Clerk, demonstrating my unwavering dedication to serving our community.
My commitment continues as I currently serve as the Chairperson of the town's Environmental Review Board and an alternate member of the Planning Board, allowing me to stay directly involved in the decisions that shape our town's future.
My background is diverse and rooted in community service. I was raised in Woodbridge, New Jersey, graduated from Rutgers College in three years, and attended Gettysburg Seminary. I spent several years in social work, followed by a career in renovation, repairs, and conservation upgrades through NYSEG and a Sullivan County weatherization program, as well as private work. I raised my family in Cochecton, Sullivan County, New York, and now call Goshen home.
My experience as a town employee, my dedication to environmental stewardship, and my commitment to responsible development make me uniquely qualified to serve on the Goshen Town Council. I understand the challenges and opportunities facing our town, and I'm ready to work hard to ensure a prosperous and sustainable future for all Goshen residents.
I pledge to:
* Prioritize responsible development that protects our natural resources and preserves the character of Goshen.
* Ensure transparent and accountable government that listens to the concerns of all residents.
* Support our local businesses and agricultural community to strengthen our economy.
* Protect our environment through sound planning and proactive initiatives.
I ask for your vote so that I can bring my experience, dedication, and commitment to the Goshen Town Council. Together, we can build a stronger Goshen for generations to come.” -

Jonathan Redeker
Jonathan Redeker is running for Orange County Legislature District 2, which would represent Goshen and Florida, NY. Redeker, a former civics teacher, believes in the core principles of commitment to supporting everyday Americans who share a vision for a better future. He prioritizes creating economic opportunities that benefit working people rather than a well-connected elite. A key focus is protecting the most vulnerable populations—seniors, veterans, and children—by preserving critical funding in Orange County. The campaign also emphasizes the need for stronger environmental protections to ensure clean air and water, as well as to safeguard farms and communities from extreme weather. Attracting innovative businesses is a priority to help local employees afford to live where they work. Additionally, it advocates for a responsive and agile local government that can adapt to changing needs, along with strategic investments in transportation and infrastructure to drive economic growth in the region.
